Not everyone can be chosen as Darna. There are these actresses that are really sexy but they don't fit Darna's personality and charisma! And unfortunately that's where Marian is at. She's definitely sexy but the role isn't for her. Though she looked good in the costume that doesn't mean that she's "The One" or "The Next" Darna.
Angel Locsin just by looking at her, and in that costume proves that she deserved to wear that and portray as Darna. I said "looking at her" not at her boobies!! lol. She has both charisma and sexiness in that suit.
Only few are chosen and one of which that is truly deserving is Angel. Hands down!!!

I'll wait until I see Marian as Darna on my 52" screen then I'll decide. In summer 2005 I think, I've seen Angel in person wearing her Darna costume at WCMC and I have to say her sexiness is a little bit overrated. But yeah she has a better rack than Marian and I also think Marian wont be able to topple the performance of Angel as Darna.

The best looking DARNA was Anjanette Abayari, she looks filipina, has a body of an amazon and was the perfect specimen for that character. it's absolutely Angel Locsin that fits DARNA role! DARNA is the PINAY superhero and angel is superpinay look and yes I agree Marian is a mestiza. Mas bagay yung character ni darna kay Marian. Hindi ako fan ni Marian, pero mas mukhang in shape for battle yung katawan nya, you can see the muscles moving when she does action scenes on the show. Pati yung personality. Darna is feisty but loving. Mas malawak ang range ni marian as an actress (from what I've seen on shows). Napanood ko yung kay angel, mabait lang character nya (and of course the required bravery). Again, just judging from what I've seen on the Darna shows. I like Angel as a celeb and person though.
